Update on my avocado seeds

Here is a small update on the sprouting avocado seeds. They are beautiful, aren't they?

Palacsinta :)

Avocado tree - Seed and sprouting

I decided to start to sprout some avocado seeds for my future garden. It took 4 weeks for the first seed to start and show some roots. I am super-happy now as the process has already begun and yesterday I saw the first part of the tiny roots of my new plant. It is very exciting to see when a new life come into existence on your windowsill. Can't wait to show you the steps of the journey in the future.

That is how the plant looks like when it is ready to be in the soil.

I put some seeds into a cup with some water that has to be changed and refilled once in a while. You can also see some wooden sticks which help the seed not to sink in the water but stay above it.

Here is the first root coming out of one of the seeds. Lovely! :)

Surprise package from Silvi, my dear friend!

On a sunny and hot Thursday afternoon, I opened the door and checked the mailbox. See what I found: a really cute package from my friend, Silvi in Ireland. :)

A nice card which is sitting in my window now.

The cutest alarmclock I have ever seen. Seriously. It is so Silvi! I love it!

One year ago, exactly on this same day, my husband proposed me. And I said yes! :)

Our first picture together in 2008 when we were in Debrecen in the tent of the Summer University.

Coconut Grove

Last weekend we went to Coconut Grove and took a nice walk. I took some pictures too (sorry for the quality, but I had only my phone, next time I will take my camera instead). The weather was nice, cloudy, humid and hot but I liked it. The pictures don't really show it but there were lots of poeple outside walking their dogs, taking walks, running or spending time with their families in the newly renovated park.

We decided that it would be nice to find a place to live close to a park where we can walk, do exercise or run.

Also, it was the first time I saw how they put a motorboat on the water from their 'parking lot'.
