New Orleans

We spent 4 days in New Orleans, Lousiana. The city is like a mix and match settlement. You can see the style of the 1920's, the influence of jazz and of course the modernism, too. The people there were all nice and helpful, they are mostly African-Americans. Here are pictures from the days and nights, how we saw the city in just a short time. Enjoy!

A horse in the street.

There were street signs in the pavement.

Each street had a street sign like this.

The French Quarter.

The view from the hotel room: Crescent City Connection.

Another view from the hotel: the Mississippi.

Casino in the neighbourhood.

Canal street streetcar.

The Jackson Brewery.

Houses in the French Quarter with nice balconies.

Mississippi Riverwalk.

The Mississippi, still.

Old and new together.

A nice coexistence.

Friends drinking together.

I like that there was so much green in the city centre.

Sculptures, monuments and fountains all over the city.

On the Way to New Orleans

We are back from New Orleans, Lousiana. It was wonderful!
I am going to have several post about our trip. I have already planned the thematical sequence of the blog posts that you will have in the upcoming days! :)

So, here is the first one: ON THE WAY TO NEW ORLEANS

The road we took from Miami to New Orleans. It took us about 14 hours.

It's us before leaving Miami. Sorry for the swollen eyes but it was still 6 in the morning.

We stopped at a Waffel House and had a huge, yummy breakfast.

One of the stops we had. We felt exhausted, hot, hungry, thirtsy. It was boiling hot outside.

I juts liked the logo of the gas station.

Found some mushrooms in a park.

We are in Tallahassee!!!!!

Clouds are coming....

Towards Pensacola.

Hello Mississippi!

Hello Lousiana!

Seeing the sign after approximately 13 hours of driving. Such a good feeling.

The first views of the city. At last!

A Saturday in Cheescake Factory

We got a call yesterday that my ring is ready (first, they told me to wait 2 weeks and now it is ready in only 1 week). It fits my finger perfectly now, so I am glad.

After the pick-up we decided to have a nice lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Let's take a look!

THE menu.

With an empty stomach. But still OK.

So hard to choose, I know.

My choice.

I never thought that he is going to end up with a salad. Haha.

That is why we love coming here. Adam's Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple. These six words mean paradise.
